Personal Care Assistance Wavier
The Personal Care Assistance (PCA) Program is a Medicaid Waiver Program that enable individuals with disabilities live independently in the community as an alternative to living in an institution. A key program requirement is that the participant be able to hire, monitor and manage their PCA staff members.
ELIGIBILITY
The PCA Waiver Program is open to any Medicaid member (on Husky A, C, or D) that can self-direct staff and meets functional requirements established for the program. Eligible clients are between 18 – 64 years of age and meet institutional level of care.
This program has a waiting list. When a slot opens, the referral is submitted to the local Access Agency, where a Specialized Care Manager will make contact to conduct an initial assessment to determine level of need.
