Support 99-Days
99-Days Inc. was designed to spread awareness about dementia and honor those who are affected by dementia. The goal is recognize the person living with dementia for who he or she is, not simply the person with dementia today. This is how it works. Volunteer runners will run 3.1 miles (5K) every day from Memorial Day through Labor Day (99 days in total). Each day, a person living with dementia or a family member caring for a person with dementia will be recognized. Runners will wear their picture during their run, and a short story about the person being honored will be posted on the 99-Days, Inc. Facebook and Instagram pages. There is no cost to participate and we encourage the community to submit names, pictures and short bios for those who deserve to be honored. Simply submit a name, picture and short bio about the person being honored (their interests, their achievements, their occupation, military background, and so on) to 99daysinc@gmail.com. Once 99-Days Inc. receives your information, you will be emailed back with your designated day of honor so that you can follow the run on Facebook and share it with your friends and family.
99-Days, Inc. gratefully accepts donations with this year’s proceeds benefiting the Southwestern CT Agency on Aging’s Connecticut Statewide Respite Care Program where financial assistance is provided to secure much needed respite support for those with a verified dementia diagnosis.
