Support SWCAA
Our clients seldom come to ask for help. They do not see themselves in need of charity. They were much more comfortable providing care and support. Their desire for independence is fierce. By the time the Southwestern Connecticut Agency on Aging gets involved, we wish they had come sooner.
In so many home visits and assessments, caregivers and family members tell us,

- She struggled to remember which pill to take. The bottles became too confusing.
- The food in her refrigerator went bad. She continued to eat it.
- We found out he missed paying bills when the electricity went off.
- I didn’t understand why she did not go to church or attend the family functions she had enjoyed in the past.
- She never asked for help; she never complained. I did not know she was struggling. When we put the pieces together, we knew there was a problem.
We are asking you, our Friends, once again to get involved. Help bridge the time from application for services to enrollment by supporting our Critical Needs Fund. Donations help us provide food, clothes, medication, and navigation the clients need to maximize independence and maintain dignity. We help so many thanks to your faith in our work. Thank you, you are an essential piece to our success!
Warm regards,
