Without this type of intergenerational support from community leaders and volunteers, the Southwestern Connecticut Agency on Aging would not be able to help the many seniors in our community who have been struggling since the outbreak of COVID-19 getting fresh groceries.

All types of volunteer and community support, including intergenerational support, helped the Southwestern Connecticut Agency on Aging provide fresh groceries to seniors most at-risk from the COVID-19 outbreak.  Our strong network of community partners, supporters and volunteers on the ground have helped SWCAA deliver thousands of grocery bags to seniors 60 and older. Each pre-packaged grocery bag provides a one week supply of fresh produce, eggs, butter, bread and toilet paper.
