In honor of Older Americans Month 2011 the CT Association of Area Agencies on Aging held a statewide essay contest seeking the best interpretation of the Older Americans Month theme "Older Americans: Connecting the Community."

Pamela Giannini, Director of the State Unit on Aging at the Department of Social Services was the special guest judge who selected Jeanne Franklin of Westport, CT as the Southwest Regional Winner! In addition, Elsie Ferrara of Stamford, CT was selected as Runner Up! Congratulations to you.
