Continuing Care Retirement Communities

Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) or Life-Care Communities provide residents with living accommodations and a wide variety of services, including health and long-term care services, through contractual agreements. CCRC's are not licensed in Connecticut, but they must adhere to certain statutory requirements. Various components of their health care packages are licensed by the State of Connecticut. Residents must be independent upon admission and pay a substantial lump-sum entrance fee and monthly fees in exchange for lifetime housing and health-related services.
